Flight times are approximates only.

All tariffs are per person.

A minimum of two adult fares are required for these prices, for all flights. Flights and exact routes are subject to weather permitting and at the sole discretion of the pilot in order to maintain safety for both passengers and aircraft.

Each float plane can carry up to 5 passengers. Weight restrictions do apply.

We require total combined passenger’s weight and if individual passenger weight exceeds 110kg it is imperative that our office is informed prior to flight.  This is a Civil Aviation and Aircraft Manufacture requirement to ensure our aircraft operate with in its weight and balance limitations.  Failure to supply accurate combined weights could result in your departure time being altered or in some instances additional costs being applied.

A standard tariff applies up to a maximum individual passenger weight of 110kg.

As of August 2022, we do not require NZ Vaccine Passes.

Your safety is extremely important to us. There are a few extra things to consider when you come to visit us. We’ve outlined a few extra precautions you need to be aware of below. We ask for your patience and co-operation while we navigate through these changes.

COVID-19 Protection 

• Anyone showing signs of COVID19 or feeling unwell. This includes anyone with a cough, high temp, shortness of breath, sore throat, sneezing/runny nose or loss of smell.
• Taupo’s Floatplane reserves the right to refuse entry to their premises, postpone or cancel any flight, where a passenger is unwell, has any symptoms associated with COVID19 (above), or is awaiting the results of testing, or is known or is suspected to have come into contact with COVID19 within the preceding 14 days.
• In accordance with Civil Aviation Rules the Pilot-in-Command is responsible for the safety of the flight at all time, therefore passengers must follow the instruction of the crew at all times.

When accompanied by at least two adults, child rates apply to children 3 years to 15 years of age. Two years and younger are free of charge.
