Lakes of Rotorua
Taupo Floatplane
Taking off from the waters of Taupo Bay, Taupo’s Floatplane “Lakes of Rotorua” scenic flight follows the Waikato River to fly over the Ohaaki Power Station. Passing over Waimangu’s Volcanic Valley and Waiotapu geothermal wonderland you will see Mt Tarawera and fly over the Blue and Green Lakes and the city of Rotorua. Tracking south for Taupo we pass over the hidden valley of Orakei Korako (landing here for a walk around is optional for an extra $70 per person), then on to the mysterious steamy “Craters of the Moon” thermal area and the Huka Falls, coming in to land on Taupo’s lakefront.
A minimum of two adults are required for this flight at this price.
