Boat Harbour Bonanza
Taupo Floatplane
The “Boat Harbour Bonanza” scenic floatplane flight takes off from the waters of Taupo Bay, past Acacia Bay to Rangatira Point, following the towering cliffs that form the shoreline to Kinloch. The flight then continues west past Kinloch to view the uninhabited Western Bays of the lake and the natural boat harbour formed by local terrain. The flight then returns to Kinloch before trekking over the local farmland to the steaming vents and mud pools of the mysterious “Craters of the Moon” thermal area and onto the bore fields of the Wairakei Power station, following the maze of pipe work to the power station itself. As a finale enjoy an aerial circuit of the magnificent Huka Falls, over Taupo’s town, and come in to land along Taupo’s lakefront.
A minimum of two adult fares are required.
